Green Investment Bank being sold to private firm Macquarie

Caroline Lucas, co-leader of the Green party, called in for a debate arguing the Green Investment bank being sold to Macquarie.

MPs from across the parties has urged Theresa May to stop the Green Investment Bank being soled to private firm Macquarie, in the fear that the assets will be stripped and its environmental purpose may be abandoned. Caroline Lucas, co-leader of the Green party, called in for a debate arguing the whole process should be stopped and attacked the Australian investment bank, saying it had a “very, very worrying and dubious track record”.  She said that Macquarie, not only had a disappointing and dreaded environmental record, it also has a shocking track record of asset-stripping.
